Hopefully. But Child Protection Measures should be formulated and implemented locally (at the maximum on a national level) because it allows for greater scrutiny. Hence there should be a condemnation of past actions by the Vatican, a commitment to future child protection but a back seat role. That is my opinion and I've had a moderate amount to do with child protection.

I would like to know that they are ashamed of not only the abuse but how they dealt with it. I would like to see the Church undertaking to deal openly with all law enforcement agancies unless there is a real risk of persecution of victims or of the Church.
