Myers-Briggs Personality Test

On the above page there are a number of tests to illustrate what personality you are. I found it on p.ie first, I have to admit. The Jung typology test gives you an idea of what you're like in terms of detail or the broader picture.
Last time i did it on p.ie I was an Introverted Architect -
- I hope I'm different now !
(i stuck it in here until we develop a psychology section)

Re: Myers-Briggs Personality Test
I've meant to do that for the craic.
Has anyone else done the Enneagram? I did a ten week course on it - poor lecturer but fascinating stuff.
Disgruntled 4 (disgruntled because she's not the only 4 in the world) would like to meet other 4s...

Re: Myers-Briggs Personality Test
I just did one of those tests and apparently I`m like Bill Clinton, Tony Blair and Ronald Reagan. Great. It suggested I work in education.
Re: Myers-Briggs Personality Test
Dang I should have kept mine. It told me I was INFP - the Healer... (last time I did it I was an architect)
My ideal jobs were webdesign, philosophy and psychology.

This is the link to INFP
Our numbers are probably different though.
The first on the list for me was literature/writer/psychology then philosophy, architecture and webdesign (?)
All creative stuff so that's fair enough. I think the description is fair enough too.

Ha. Some mountains are just too high to climb, Kate P.
Re: Myers-Briggs Personality Test
Funny that I didn't see the word 'defeatest' in the enfj profile...

Re: Myers-Briggs Personality Test
It's Friday evening, so I'm an ENFP. Depending on the day, I'm usually an INTJ or INTP on weekdays. The only constant is the N.
Re: Myers-Briggs Personality Test
INFPs never seem to lose their sense of wonder. One might say they see
life through rose-colored glasses. It's as though they live at the edge
of a looking-glass world where mundane objects come to life, where
flora and fauna take on near-human qualities.
INFP children often exhibit this in a 'Calvin and Hobbes' fashion,
switching from reality to fantasy and back again. With few exceptions,
it is the NF child who readily develops imaginary playmates (as with
Anne of Green Gables's "bookcase girlfriend"--her own reflection) and
whose stuffed animals come to life like the Velveteen Rabbit and the
Skin Horse:"...Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your
hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in
the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all,
because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't
understand..." (the Skin Horse)

E tonight so? I'll test you in the Sibín Reoite later soibis wrote:It's Friday evening, so I'm an ENFP. Depending on the day, I'm usually an INTJ or INTP on weekdays. The only constant is the N.
N is intuitive which is like psychic or non-reason based logic isn't it? What's the alternative to the N?
And the the T/P is thinking and perceiving.. if you are a P then according to Jungs analysis you are the type who waits to see all the data before diving in. The thinking person will deal with present data and experience rather than wait to see that something emerges like the P is supposed to.

From Wiki:
Sensation and Intuition
are the information-gathering (Perceiving) functions. They describe how
new information is understood and interpreted. Individuals who prefer Sensation
are more likely to trust information that is in the present, tangible
and concrete: that is, information that can be understood by the five
senses. They tend to distrust hunches that seem to come out of nowhere.
They prefer to look for detail and facts. For them, the meaning is in
the data. On the other hand, those who prefer Intuition tend to
trust information that is more abstract or theoretical, that can be
associated with other information (either remembered or discovered by
seeking a wider context or pattern). They may be more interested in
future possibilities. They tend to trust those flashes of insight that
seem to bubble up from the unconscious mind. The meaning is in how the
data relates to the pattern or theory.
Re: Myers-Briggs Personality Test
ah thanks for that . pattern recognition is a good sign isn't it? Perceivers are information-gatherers so. that's zippily me !

Re: Myers-Briggs Personality Test
I have been doing these for years and I usually end up as an INxx. Where xx stands for FP, FJ, TP, or TJ.
